Many companies manufacture and sell pollution boom systems. Seaforth is the only company that designs, builds, deploys, and operates the systems it provides—all in-house, custom-engineered for each client. Our experience comes from doing the work: installing, tending, adjusting, and recovering boom systems in active harbours, rivers, and industrial marine environments.
Seaforth's roots trace back to Seaforth Towing & Salvage Ltd., established in Port Moody in 1974. The current owner, Captain Darrell Brown, and former principal operator Captain Chris Crockett bring more than 45 years of operational experience to the company.
What sets Seaforth apart is integration. We combine environmental containment expertise with marine towing, barge and crane support, custom dock construction, and on-water repair capability. With approximately 30 personnel, 8 tugboats, 5 landing craft and barges, and 3 water taxi vessels, we deliver complete solutions to Canada's largest energy and marine infrastructure companies.
Our booms are built to higher standards than mass-produced alternatives because we're the ones responsible for making them work in the field. That operational accountability drives everything we do.
